Corporate Leader for Kirby Arnold & Associates Workshops
Claire Burdett began her career in the financial arena at Crocker National Bank in San Francisco. While at Crocker, she served as Vice President of the Product Management Division and as Product Manager of the Business Banking Division. In these positions, Claire was instrumental in the restructuring of the Commercial Banking Portfolio and integrating the restructured plan into systems, operations, marketing and product delivery.
Claire was then hand picked to fill the position of President of Associates National Bank. She was one of the first women presidents of a consumer bank in the U.S. As President of Associates National Bank, she managed and marketed the charter franchise as a community bank while utilizing the franchise to launch:
- Consumer loans and deposit products
- Credit and credit card products and strategies
- Telemarketing programs offering bank products nationally
- Expansion of telemarketing role to acquisition and retention of nationwide banking customers
- Cross-selling programs of bank products to the national audience
- IRA's and other retirement products.
Claire was instrumental in the purchase of a savings and loan and finance company and then integrating them into the branch network. She was responsible for the management of the Board of Directors, the Comptroller of the Currency relationship and the investment portfolio of the bank. In addition, her responsibilities encompassed system analysis for purchase and implementation, potential impact of telecommunications on costs and opportunities, marketing and pricing of innovative products, compliance with regulatory authorities and review and maintenance of the quality of the loan portfolio.
Claire received her BA from Agnes Scott College in Atlanta, GA and an MBA from Columbia University. She is a Certified Financial Planner.
Claire developed two KAA programs, The Power Proposition and The Business Edge. She has been an Executive Leader for Kirby, Arnold since 1995.
