Horacio is a business professional with extensive corporate experience across a breadth of business disciplines but with particular depth in internationals sales, marketing, corporate governance, P&L management and strategic planning in both the private and the public environment. His 18 year career is built upon a foundation of experience in building high performance teams, followed by unique success in applying collaborative distribution strategies into the Sales and Marketing environment. Horacio has also extensive experience in High Performance Business Systems, having led (and achieved superior results) in quality initiatives, like the Malcolm Baldridge National Quality Award.

Currently Horacio is the General Manger of a leading company in Pharmaceutical Consulting Services in Latin America. He directly supports and guides all company business disciplines, particularly the leverage of the Sales and Operation organizations, to execute profit improvement initiatives, optimizing short term profits with long term growth. Capability building is a key and Horacio´s leadership focus is on enabling the company management to understand, and develop capability and actionable techniques for increasing customer’s satisfaction while managing/ reducing costs, increasing revenue and growing margins and profits.

Prior to this position, Horacio served for two years (2003-2004) as a Vice Minister for Trade and Production for the Government of Argentina/ Buenos Aires, responsible for foreign economic relations development and cooperation. This position proved to be a real challenge because of the variety of disciplines that were involved in a diverse and unique environment which is the public sector  During his service period specific negotiations with the PR of China were successfully undertaken.

Before his Government service Horacio was during 8 years at the leading technology and telecommunications Company Motorola Inc. in South America, having served as President and CEO and having been appointed as a Vice President and Corporation’s Officer. Contributions included sales results– achieving more than $800 M sales in 2000 (grew from $150M in 1997) in Telecom/Electronic products and services to both private and public sectors thru strong channel development activities and complex accounts development and Government negotiations.

Additionally Horacio lead the 2002 regional winning team of the Malcolm Baldridge National Quality Award in Latin America.

He also guided the strategic effort to increase the regional presence thru commercial offices and technology development centers to capture business opportunities and develop market support.

Horacio’s base skills and management approach were initially built during a 5 year career at Johnson & Johnson/Janssen Pharmaceutica.

His career began with responsibilities in distribution for the Latin American Market where he worked closely with a 8 major national distributors force.

Other professional roles included Partner and COO of Digital Designs and as Consultant for the Inter American Development Bank (IADB) and the Governments of Germany and Spain.

Horacio received his Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration from the Austral University (IAE)/Buenos Aires-Argentina. He also received his PhD in Sciences magna cum laude from Ludwig-Maximilians-University/Munich-Germany in 1989, a Master in Public Health Administration from the University of Navarra/Pamplona-Spain, a Diploma in International Development from the Freie Universität Berlin/Berlin-Germany and he graduated at the University of Buenos Aires-Argentina.

In addition, he has completed executive development programs at the Harvard Business School, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (M.I.T.) and at the Motorola University.
